Taconic Valley American Legion Fundraiser

October 12, 2012 By eastwickpress

The Taconic Valley American Legion Auxiliary is sponsoring a “Cheapstakes Extravaganza” on November 3 from 9 am to 1 pm at the Petersburgh Veterans Memorial Community Center. There will be tag sale tables, a Chinese Auction and a food and pie sale. There will also be a “best food” contest which involves free samples of each food and then a vote for the tastiest one. The contest, with a $20 prize, is open to anyone who brings in food to share.
Any donations would be appreciated. Tables are free for Auxiliary members and $20 for all others. One hundred percent of the profits from this fundraiser goes to local veterans. If you have a veteran in your family who served during any conflict you are eligible to join. If you know of a vet in need let us know. For more information or to contribute to this worthy cause, please contact Post Auxiliary President Sue O’Neil at 658- 9397.
