Tigers Fight Off Mountaineers In Tight Soccer Match

October 19, 2012 By eastwickpress

submitted by Dan Evans
New Lebanon met Berlin on their field on Saturday, October 13, for an early match in the frost. New Lebanon came out and was able to score early in the first half on keeper Mike Reger who has only allowed two league goals this season. Justin Bingham found Mark McCarty making a run to the six who knocked it in.

Berlin woke up and never stopped peppering New Lebanon’s defense. Somehow with a couple of unbelievable saves by Evan Burgess, New Lebanon was able to hold Berlin to a zero. Every play seemed to have Sakan Sadowksky distributing the ball and Aaron Stall doing the same for New Lebanon.
Berlin came in and beat New Lebanon back in early September to hurt their title chances and today New Lebanon was able to steal a win at Berlin to mess with their title run.
Loudonville remains in first place in the CHVL; Berlin is in second with 6-1 in the League and 6-3 overall; NL is in third with 7-3 in the League and 8-5 overall.
