HFCA’s Honor Our Veterans Luncheon

November 16, 2012 By eastwickpress

submitted by Gail Smith
On Saturday, November 10, the Hoosick Falls Community Alliance Church hosted an Honor Our Veterans Luncheon. Thirty veterans, widows and family members were recognized and honored for the sacrifices they and their loved ones have made so that we can have the freedoms we do here in America. There was patriotic and special music, an abundant lunch provided by HFCAC folks and local restaurants plus opportunity for the veterans to reminisce around the table and share with us what was on their hearts.
We would like to thank Jeff Babson, Bianca’s Pizza, Big Moose Deli, Coffee Connection, Falls Diner, Farrara’s, Jean’s Diner, Pizza Bella, Society of Saint Stanislaw and Subway for their generous contributions to the event.
The Honor Our Veterans Luncheon was sponsored by Plugged In!, a ministry of HFCAC. This is the first of what we are hoping will be many events in Hoosick Falls to honor those who have served our country.
