Joseph A. Brandi

Hoosick Falls – Joseph A. Brandi, 96, of LaGrange, KY, formerly of Salisbury, NC, passed away in LaGrange on Tuesday, November 20, 2012.
Mr. Brandi was a Catholic, a decorated Army WW II veteran who was awarded a purple heart and a retired rubber and plastics industry technical advisor and plant manager.
Mr. Brandi was an accomplished and avid, award-winning athlete who excelled at all sports and especially enjoyed basketball, golf, bowling and a good game of bocce with friends. He never had a bad word for anyone and was a devoted husband and father whose life was centered on his wife Lillian, whom he loved with all his heart.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Ruth Docherty Brandi, his children, Jay Brandi and wife Mary Ellen, Terrence Brandi and wife Terry and Kathleen and husband William Francis, his brothers, Daniel Brandi of Hoosick Falls, NY, and Anthony Brandi, 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was conducted at 9:30 am on Monday, November 26, at the St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church, 1104 South 6th Street, Louisville, KY, 40203, with burial following in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery. Visitation was from 3 to 6 pm Sunday at the Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home.
