A group of about 50 people were in Wood Park on Sunday, November 11, at 11 am. They came to the park to participate with American Legion Post #40 members in the annual ceremony to remember our Veterans.
[private]Master of Ceremony was Legion Commander Walter Zwinge. Keith McCart started the program with a prayer. Zwinge spoke of the importance of the day. He thanked Lynne Mango for preparing the wreaths that were placed at the Veterans Wall by Legion Auxiliary members Judy Bachorz and Dorothy Lackey, Rensselaer County Legislator Stan Brownell and his wife, Jim and Rita Bulson and Terri Burdick and Tony Hayes.

A brief history of the Wall was given. Volleys were fired by the Honor Guard and taps was played by Tim Stratton.
Afterwards, many people adjourned to the Legion headquarters for lunch.
