Hoosick Planning Board Action – December 2012

After the Pledge of Allegiance at the Planning Board meeting on Monday, December 17, Chairman Jim Dunigan asked for a moment of silence in remembrance of those lost in the tragedy of Newtown, CT. He also commented on the noise overhead as painting was underway in the building.
Planning Board Attorney Denis King told the Board he had received a letter from Michael Cusack of Verizon Wireless stating that engineer Russ Reeves had been hired to review the Verizon cell tower plans. They will report on the upgrades at next month’s meeting. The letter was put on file.[private]ROW Removal
Dave Harrison of D&D Vending appeared before the Board requesting elimination of a right of way between the Vending property on Route 22 and the adjoining property they recently purchased. The Board agreed since Harrison owns both properties, removing the right of way is not an issue.
Boundary Line Adjustment
Laura Greene approached the Board about a boundary line adjustment on the Moseley Farm. She wants to move the boundary line so than an acre of the 29 acre parcel may be given to an adjoining cemetery The boundary line adjustment was approved.
Pine Valley Road Subdivision
Kendal Baker, representing the Nelson family, came before the Board again regarding the Nelson Farm on Pine Valley Road. The Nelsons wish to divide their 365 acre property into three parcels for a simple subdivision. The first parcel would consist of the main farmhouse and barns and cleared land of approximately 172 acres. The second parcel would consist of a small bungalow with 166 acres, and the third parcel would be a 27 acre wooded lot. The Board first approved a boundary line adjustment and then a two lot simple subdivision.
Junkyard Subdivision
Wayne Wilson again came before the Board representing Tim and Carrie Cahill regarding cutting 12 acres from the junkyard property on Route 7. The Board approved separating the home from the business with a simple two lot subdivision.
Dunigan Subdivision
Board Chairman Jim Dunigan recused himself from the Board and was represented by attorney Bill Johnston who addressed the Board regarding Dunigan’s desire to create a four lot subdivision on his property west of Route 22. There would be three lots of 70 acres each and one lot of 50 acres. The Board will review the old Dunigan files for previous property divisions. Johnston will appear before the Board on the subject at its January meeting.
Wayne Wilson approached the Board for an initial conference regarding division of five acres and over three acres of the Green property in the hamlet of Hoosick.
The Board will meet next on Monday, January 21 at 7:30 pm.[/private]
