Berlin/Petersburgh – Mabel Caswell Paddock, 97, widow of the Reverend Royal Paddock, died peacefully on Friday,  December 7, 2012, in Bemidji, MN, where she had relocated to live with her son, Daniel.
Born in Berwick, ME, on May 1, 1915, she was the daughter of  Ai G. and Minnie (White) Caswell. She received her BA in Education from Gordon College in 1937 and an RN degree in 1940. She was married to Royal C. Paddock in Philadelphia, PA, on June 8, 1941. She worked as a missionary in India with her husband, an ordained minister, from 1945 until 1964. Upon their return to the U.S. she filled the role as a pastor’s wife in Wenham, MA, and Berlin, NY, where Rev. Paddock was called to serve. They retired to Bennington, VT in 1978. After Rev. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the missions in which her grandchildren are involved – Timber Bay Ministries of Youth Investment or International Accelerated Missions – in care of the Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home, 213 West Main Street, Bennington, VT, 05201.
