The Hoosick Falls Community Band under the direction of Bill Gaillard and Renee Hatch will present its 30th annual Christmas Concert on Wednesday, December 19, at 7:30 pm. The location is where the programs began, the First United Presbyterian Church on Main Street. The programs were begun by then Pastor Robert Sprunger (d), a clarinetist with the band.
Renee Hatch was introduced to the community during the summer concert series. Renee joined with the band as a trumpet player with a degree from Keene State College and has since been working with band as assistant conductor.
The Christmas concert will present favorites heard at this time of year including a new Irving Berlin selection. A reception will follow in the hall and the public is cordially invited to this free Christmas program.
In other holiday music performances the brass section of the Community band will be heard in the village on Saturday, December 22 at 11:30 AM presenting carol favorites.
