Clara Salluzzo

Hoosick Falls – Clara Salluzzo, 94, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013, at her daughter’s residence in Glenmont, NY. Clara formerly resided on First Street in Hoosick Falls, NY, and was the wife of the late Joseph Salluzzo.
Born on June 13, 1918, in Johnsonville, NY, Clara was the daughter of the late Fred and Eva (Gibbons) Motsiff. She worked at the Specialty Company in Hoosick Falls for many years. In her retirement Clara enjoyed gardening, reading, knitting, sewing and cooking delicious meals for her family at her home. Clara will be remembered most as a devoted mother and grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family and will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
Survivors include her daughter, Jo-Ann Murnighan and husband Chick of Glenmont, NY, her granddaughters, Beth Flanagan and husband John, Jill Flannery and husband Tim and Sarah Hoyt and husband Matt, her great-grandchildren, Maggie Flanagan and Drew and Aidan Flannery, her sisters, Gladys Coonradt, Eva Fleming and Nelma Motsiff, and several nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her son, Anthony Salluzzo.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Wednesday, January 16, at 10 am from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial followed the Mass at Maple Grove Cemetery in Hoosick Falls. There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Albany County Community Hospice through the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY, 12090, who are handling the arrangements.
