Sunday, February 3 – A Day on the Trail with Dan Yacobellis from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Choose one animal to follow for the day. By following one animal, you can learn many things about its behavior and possibly find den sites or the actual animal. Pre-registration is required and can be done by contacting Lisa at dykenpond@fairpoint.net. Enrollment is limited to 15 people; the spaces fill quickly. We need a minimum of six people, so please register early. The cost is $20, $15 for members.
Sunday, February 17 – Beginner Animal Tracks with Dan Yacobellis from 12 to 3 pm. Tracking animals in winter is a wonderful way to give focus to a nature walk. Not only that, it’s fun, challenging and so exciting when you can say confidently what animal has passed by. You will be amazed by what wild animals are close by. Learn what all the fuss is about in this beginner, family-friendly tracking class. The minimum age is 10 years old.

Wednesday, February 20 – Winter Nature Walk for Kids with Lisa Hoyt from 1 to 3 pm. Explore the winter landscape on foot or snowshoes. We’ll look at whatever interests us, and you are guaranteed to find lots to look at and discover. This is a free program for kids ages 5-12. There are free snowshoe rentals for this day only with advance notice.
Saturday, February 23 – Full Snow Moon Trek from 7 to 9 pm. Bring your own snowshoes or cross country skis and join us on a moonlit trek along Center trails.
This trek will cover about two miles and is for the intermediate ability level. Our trails are lit by the moon only. Snowshoe rentals for $5 are available with advance notice. This is a free program.
