submitted by Coach Bob Lang
The Hoosick Falls bowling team finished second at the Adirondack League Bowling Tournament at Broadway Lanes in Fort Edward on Tuesday, January 29, with a total pin count of 3,133 pins for three games with five bowlers. Fort Edward finished first with a great score of 3,263. Schuylerville was third with a total of 2,809. Hoosic Valley was fourth with a total of 2,600, and Stillwater finished fifth with a total of 2,557.

Scores for the Hoosick Falls bowlers were Logan Brogue 264-660, Bryan Callahan 247-657, Josh McCart 225-626, Josh Conn 237-604 and Ken Marbot 205-586. Stephen Surdam, Josh Reveal and Jennifer Sargood were part of the team but did not bowl. Logan Brogue had the high series for the Southern Division for his good triple of 660.
“We bowled well with a good total of 3,133, but Fort Edward had a great day with a 3,263 total that included a second game total of 1,179. We had game totals of 1,092 (which gave us the lead after the first game), 1,046 and 995. We were down 48 pins going into the last game but got off to a slow start and recovered later in the game, but it wasn’t good enough to catch Fort Edward who bowled another good game of 1,077 in their last game. This was a good experience for Sectionals which will be held on Monday, February 11, starting at 9:30 am at Boulevard Lanes in Schenectady. I was very proud how the bowlers performed,” said Coach Lang.
