A program on the prevention and reversal of heart disease will be presented on Thursday, February 14, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Buskirk Better Living Center meeting in the Buskirk Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2176 W. Hoosick Road (Co.103 & NY 67) in Buskirk.
Heart disease, or cardiovascular disease, is the nation’s leading killer for both men and women among all racial and ethnic groups. Almost one million Americans die of heart disease each year, about 42% of all deaths. Why? Because of sedentary lifestyle habits, poor food choices, etc.
Heart disease costs the nation $274 billion each year, including health expenditures and lost productivity. Most heart disease can be prevented. Learn practical inexpensive strategies to improve your heart health. There will be food samples, a video lecture by a lifestyle medical doctor and a coronary risk assessment.
