by Fleda Berschwinger, BCS Varsity Girls Coach
The Mountaineers Girls Varsity Basketball team beat Loudonville Christian by a score of 38-32 on Wednesday, January 30. Berlin was led by Maggie Gordon’s 14 points followed by Tine Royce with 10, Brittany Gilbert with 9 and Nicole Zlotnick with 5. It was a great all around team effort both offensively and defensively.
On Tuesday, February 4, BCS beat Germantown 39 to 34. Berlin had everyone in the scoring column for this game, led by Brittany Gilbert with 13, Maggie Gordon with 11, Tiffany Foley with 6 and Tine Royce with 3 while Maria Gordon, Nicole Zlotnick and Jordan Cahill each chipped in with two points. This was another great team defensive effort.
And even better, both of these wins avenged earlier losses to each team!
