by Chuck Riccardi
With generous donations and assistance from Kilventon Fruit & Produce, Hilltown Pork and Jiminy Peak, the Stephentown Volunteer Fire Department held its 15th Annual Corned Beef Dinner on Saturday, March 9. Volunteers from Cub Scout Pack 911 and Boy Scout Troop #222 helped out with the dinner, and the Library sold baked goods.

Co-Chairmen of the Dinner, Chuck Riccardi and Mark Mazzeo, reported that a record amount of corned beef was cooked to serve the 320 dinners, and the Department sold out by 6:15 pm. The Department thanks the community for the great support and plans to cook even more next year.
Upcoming events at the Fire Hall include Texas Hold’em on March 16 and April 13 and the Annual Roast Beef Dinner on Saturday, April 20.  Anyone interested in donating homemade pies for the Roast Beef Dinner is encouraged to contact any Department member or call the Fire Station at 733-5151 on Tuesday nights between 7 and 8:30 pm.
