When Is Family Dollar Coming To New Lebanon?

March 29, 2013 By eastwickpress

by Thaddeus Flint
There is a sign in the window of the building where the New Lebanon Supermarket used to be and where Hannaford tried to be that has been up for a while now. It reads, “Coming Soon. Family Dollar.”[private] The question people have been asking is – how soon?
“This new store, located on State Route 22, is slated to open this spring,” is the closest to an answer Family Dollar’s Public Relations Manager, Bryn Winburn, could give as of Monday. Winburn did add that an exact opening date would be available sometime in April. The store is one of around 500 the North Carolina chain plans to open in 2013. Family Dollar currently has over 7,000 locations in the US.

For those families who don’t have a dollar, the chain is bringing a few jobs to New Lebanon along with their discounts on such necessities as Pop-Tarts, Fritos and fish oil capsules. At the moment Family Dollar is searching for a Temporary Customer Service Representative and a Store Manager for the new location in the Valley Plaza. Details and online applications can be found in the careers section of the company’s website at Familydollar.com.
