Baptism Of A Babcock Lake Baby

April 19, 2013 By eastwickpress

Zachary Patrick Myers and Megan Phyfe (Barrett) Myers are proud to announce the baptism of their daughter, Skyla Jaide Myers. At 10½ months old, she was baptized with blessed Babcock Lake water at the Old First Congregational Church located in Historic Bennington, VT, on the morning of Sunday, April 7, 2013.  During the service, Skyla’s paternal uncle, Shawn Paul Myers, and aunt, April Ann (Stratton) Myers, accepted the honor to be Skyla’s godparents. Fourteen family members and close friends were present at the service besides the Sunday congregation. The Chair Deacon, Marshall Lee Barrett, who is also Skyla’s maternal grandfather, signed the Baptism Certificate on behalf of the Church. The service was followed by a celebration at the Myers Family log cabin on Babcock Lake in Grafton, NY.
