Greenway Earth Day Walk

April 26, 2013 By eastwickpress

by Bea Peterson
About a dozen youngsters and adults took advantage of the free program offered by the Friends of the Hoosic River Greenway on Saturday, April 20. [private]It was a perfect morning for being outdoors and on the Greenway. Shelly Stiles, HooRWA Program Director, showed folks some edible plants and gave them some pesto to try made from those plants. Kevin Hemeon talked about birds in the area, some of them even cooperating by appearing on the scene.
All in all it was a great time and a great way to celebrate Earth Day.
