Panther Softball Takes A Couple On The Chin

April 19, 2013 By eastwickpress

by Steve Bradley
The Panther softball team just couldn’t get anything to go their way Monday as they hosted Granville. By the end of the second inning, the Golden Horde had jumped out to an 8 – 0 lead, and the Panthers could not come up with the firepower to do anything about it. The Ladies did load the bases in the third inning but couldn’t push any runs across the plate. The final score was Granville 15 –  HF 0.
The game Tuesday vs. Berne-Knox was called on account of bad weather.
On Wednesday, the team traveled to Cambridge to face the Cambridge Indians. The Ladies jumped out to a first inning 2 – 0 lead. Cambridge came back in the fourth inning with 7 runs to take a lead they would never give up. Cambridge went on to win the game 10 – 5.
