The Lillis Bunce Memorial Award is a $200 scholarship presented annually by the Grafton Community Library in memory of Lillis Bunce, who served as Library Director on a volunteer basis for twenty-five years and who was also instrumental in the founding of the Library.
The purpose of the award is to keep Mrs. Bunce’s memory alive within the Grafton community, to acknowledge on an annual basis her many contributions to the community and to encourage community service in our younger citizens.
Applicants must be a citizen of the Town of Grafton and currently a senior in high school. Public, private and home-schooled students are eligible. Applicants need to provide evidence of volunteer service such as, but not limited to, the following areas: library/literacy, gardening, environmental and civic organizations.
