When you do what you love, you love what you do. That certainly appeared to be the case on Saturday, March 30, when the women at the Village Clipper were celebrating the salon’s 30th anniversary. [private]For hours folks came in to celebrate with Julie Hyde, Renee Trombley, Mary Beth Smith and Julie Richard. Client Terry Henry even called from Myrtle Beach to wish them happy anniversary.

Julie Hyde, stylist and owner, said she is thankful to her clients for their loyalty. “I still love what I do, and I hope to go on for another 30,” she said. Hyde noted that The Village Clipper on Munsell Street is a full service salon offering all types of hair care, plus nails, tanning, massages and facials. She and nail and hair stylist Renee Trombley have recently nicknamed their new salon chairs, Chairs of Cheers. “We love to laugh and make our clients feel at home. We treat everyone like family,” they said. It seems everyone reciprocates.
Julie began The Village Clipper on Elm Street, moving from that location to a second on Elm, then moving to Church and Troy Streets before settling on Munsell Street in 2000.
Trombley has been with Julie for 18 years. Both women are lifelong Hoosick Falls residents. Trombley is grateful to her supportive family and friends for making her job fun. She said she is grateful to this wonderful community for their appreciation and the love they have shown over the years.
Smith offers a variety of facials for teens, men and women. Richard offers a variety of therapeutic massages and reflexology. The two offer enticing Spa Packages.
However anyone wants to be pampered, they can find it at The Village Clipper. For more information on any of the services call 686-4246.[/private]
