Village Planning Board Action Clears Purchase Of Property By Oak-Mitsui

April 19, 2013 By eastwickpress

Board Approves Simple Subdivision
by Bea Peterson
[private]At the Wednesday, April 10, meeting of the Hoosick Falls Planning Board, Rensselaer County Attorney Stephen Pechenik told the Board that after reviewing the maps presented by Wayne Willson and Donald Albrecht of Albrecht & Willson Land Surveyors, PLLC, on behalf of Oak-Mitsui, the County was agreeable to the proposed boundary line changes of the two abutting WCW lots on Mechanic Street. The Planning Board then approved the changes as a simple subdivision.
With the boundary issue resolved, Oak-Mitsui will now pursue plans to purchase the 15.02 acres of property, including the building, that it has leased for some time.
The County, on the other hand, is still endeavoring to secure the WCW building and property on Mechanic Street for back taxes.

With boundary issues cleared up, Oak-Mitsui can now proceed with the purchase of the building it has rented for some time on Mechanic Street. (Bea Peterson photo)
