BCS Prom – Seaside Paradise

May 31, 2013 By eastwickpress

by Dianne Mosher and Karen Day
Over 100 students and chaperones danced the night away aboard the JP Cruise Ship as it sailed up and down the Hudson River on Saturday, May 25.  The  rain  surely did not put a damper on the festivities which began at 5 pm with the Grand March which was held in the Berlin MS/HS auditorium. Students were introduced in front of a 10 foot high sandcastle. The sand castle served as the backdrop for the theme “Seaside Paradise” and the presentation of the juniors and seniors and their dates. The group then traveled by car, limousine and school bus to the docks in Troy where the boat and a wonderful buffet dinner awaited. No one seemed to notice that the wind and rain continued outside.

The night culminated in the crowning of the prom royalty. The Senior Court included seniors Kelsey O’Dell, Erika Pelletier, Andrew Harris and Mike Reger, and the Junior Court included Kodi Day, Cullen O’Brien, Cody Seel and Katie Gallucci.
The Crowned Princess was Junior Molly Ruebel and the Prince was Junior John Schatz.
The Crowned Queen was Senior AnneMarie Guerdan. The King was Senior Sakan Sadowsky.
After the prom students boarded the bus for the after prom party at Afrim’s Sports Complex and finished off the night with breakfast at Denny’s.
The students had a great time under the direction of class advisors Tammy Osterhout and Karen Day.
