• Saturday, June 8, Dragonfly and Damselfly Workshop – 9 am-4 pm. Dragonflies and damselflies are some of nature’s most fascinating, beautiful and speedy creatures. Erin White, zoologist with the New York Natural Heritage Program, will lead this workshop.

The morning will be an indoors session on how to identify dragonflies and damselflies using shape, color and body structures (and microscopes). In the afternoon, we will venture out with nets and guides to see who’s flying over the wetlands and ponds. Bring a lunch and water, footwear you don’t mind getting wet for the wetland, binoculars and a hand lens if you have one. Registration is limited to 12. The fee is $5. Pre-registration is required by contacting Nick Conrad at nbconrad@msn.com. This event is co-sponsored by the RensselaerLand Trust.
