Local DAR Chapter To Meet

The  first meeting of the 2013-2014 year for the Ondawa-Cambridge Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will  be Friday, September 6, at 12 pm at the Red Roost Restaurant on Route 22 in Cambridge.  Lunch will be ordered from the menu with separate checks.  There will be a ritual and business meeting led by Regent Jeanne Massey.  The program will be by Kathryn (Mike) Taylor whose topic will  be “Washington County Historical Society as a Research Center for Genealogy.”  Hostesses are Lois Sheaff and Jeanne Massey.
Any woman who believes she is eligible to join the DAR may call the Regent at 518-677-3324.  Eligibility is based on the Revolutionary War service of a direct ancestor.  Chapter members reside primarily in Cambridge, Shushan, Buskirk, Greenwich, Hoosick Falls and Bennington.  Visitors are welcome.
