Moving A Water Main On River Road

August 9, 2013 By eastwickpress

The water main on River Road has been moved, but the project as a whole is on hold as they wait for water test results. Whenever a line is moved, the water must be tested to be sure there are no contaminants in it. Once the test results are in, work will continue. Hoosick Falls Mayor David Borge said the work will be completed before the opening of school in September. The damage to the road and the river bank is a result of hurricane Irene, and the repairs are being funded by FEMA. (Bea Peterson photo)
