Summer Reading Program Ends
The summer reading program has drawn to a close. Children who would like to win a battleship game or a doll are invited to put a raffle entry into our can for each book they read for the rest of the summer. The drawing to see who wins will be on Wednesday, September 4, at 4 pm.
This summer 47 children and teens completed the reading requirements reading a total of 430 books (younger children) and 34,320 pages (older children and teens). The Library sponsored 26 programs with a total attendance of 632. The adult participation was good with 11 gift baskets donated by board members and community members and 257 books read and entered into the prize drawings. Our thanks to all who donated and participated.
