A Fundraiser For The Andy Cummings Family

September 27, 2013 By eastwickpress

Andy Cummings, aka Andyman17, a 15 year old from Poestenkill, was critically injured in Unadilla, NY, while on his last lap of a practice run on his quad. He was flown by Lifestar to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse and remained in Pediatric ICU for close to a month. He received a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Andy and his parents Aletha and Bob are now a little closer to home at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital in Schenectady, NY, where he is receiving physical, occupational and speech therapy each day.
On October 26 Andy’s family and friends will host a Family Style Roast Beef Dinner at the Berlin Fire House from 4 to 7 pm. Tickets cost $15 for adults and $5 for children under 5. There will also be a silent auction, a 50/50 auction and other surprises. All proceeds from this event will go directly to the Cummings family to help with expenses for Andy’s full recovery.
Andy is the beloved grandson of David and Pat Shuhart and the nephew of Derrick, Aimee, Davey and Janel.
Please help us make this fundraiser a success.
If you have questions or want tickets or want to make a donation, please call Pat at 658-3558 or (cell) 242-9865 or Davey at 733-5439 or (cell) 479-9257 or Kathy Burdick at 733-6975.
