HFCS PTA Kicks Off 2013-2014 Year

September 13, 2013 By eastwickpress

The Hoosick Falls Central School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is underway with the new school year. PTA has been active all summer preparing for the year, and they’re helping to ease students and teachers back to school at the open houses and other activities.
The PTA will continue to make a difference in 2013-2014 by giving $100 to each grade level for extra supplies, by hosting several family oriented events, Fall Festival, Family Fun Bingo, Scholastic Book Fair, appreciation days and movie nights, by volunteering time and offering funding for countless programs and events and much more.
PTA will hold business meetings nine times a year. Meetings this year will be held in the HFCS Elementary School Library at 5:30 pm on September 19, October 17, November 21,  January 16,  February 13, March 20, April 10, May 15 and June 19.
The new Executive Officers are excited to start the new school year and encourage parents, faculty and community to support the HFCS PTA by becoming a member. Memberships are just $5. The team of officers leading with lots of enthusiasm this year is: President Susan Senecal, Vice President Sarah Bushey, Treasurer Eliza Bouplon, Secretary Jenny O’Connor and teacher representatives Gina Harrison (Junior/Senior High School) and Margaret Stevens (Elementary School).
If you’d like to become a member or to learn more about PTA and its programs, please attend the first meeting on September 19 or contact Paula Kamperman at 518-686-5344.
