Linda J. Nugent

Berlin – Linda J. Nugent, 70, of Taylor Avenue, Berlin, NY, died on Friday, September 13, 2013, at the Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA.
Born on the 4th of July, 1943, in Newburgh, NY, she was the daughter of the late Donald Jose Lopez and Edith V. Earle. She was the loving wife of Donald K. Nugent, whom she married in Cornwall, NY  on October 25, 1975. ob-lindanugentLinda was a 1962 graduate of the Newburgh Free Academy and attended St. George’s Episcopal Church in Newburgh, NY. They moved to the Berlin area in 1980. She worked as a secretary for McClave & Co. in Stephentown, NY, and retired from Taconic, formerly known as Taconic Plastics of Petersburgh, NY, in 2003. She attended Berlin Senior Citizens meetings and enjoyed cooking and bowling. Besides her parents she is pre-deceased by a brother, David Lopez.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Donald, her siblings, Donna E. Greene of Riverside, CA, Joseph A. Lopez of Wilton, NY, and Thomas J. Lopez of Windermere, FL, along with many nieces and nephews.
Services and visitation will be private. Following cremation, Linda’s cremated remains will be buried in the Willow Dell Cemetery in Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society (www.berkshirehumane.org) 214 Barker Road, Pittsfield, MA, 01201.
Arrangements are under the guidance of the Thomas M. Barber Funeral Home of Petersburgh.
