Passive Activism: Shaker Feminists

The Shaker Museum   Mount Lebanon will present “Passive Activism: Shaker Feminists” as part of its Shaker Stories series on Sunday, September 22, from 2 to 3 pm.
Were Shakers “feminists?” What role did women play within the Shaker communities?
What role did they play in the women’s rights movement? View the North Family from the perspective of the Sisters who lived there on this one hour walking tour.
The tour is free  for “Shaker Stories” Members and costs $8 for general members and $10 for non-members. The tour will start at the Museum. Go to www.shakerml.org for more information.
