Boys Soccer Suffers Tough Losses

Last Friday, the Panthers hosted the Cambridge Indians at Delurey Field. The Panthers came away with a 7 – 0 victory. Drew Phillips and Max Haar each scored 3 goals, and Justin Archambault scored one. Noah Chani had one save.
The Panther boys soccer team visited Maple Hill High School twice to play a couple non-league games on Saturday and Monday. They were unable to score in either game and returned each day disappointed. In Saturday’s game, after playing to a halftime 0 – 0 score, Ichabod Crane scored two second half goals to take a 2 – 0 victory over the Panthers. Noah Chani had four saves in goal.
Facing Amsterdam High School on Monday, the Panthers played the Rams to a 0 – 0 tie after the regulation time and the first overtime period. Amsterdam scored in the second overtime period to defeat the Panthers 1 – 0.
Wednesday, the Panthers traveled to Stillwater for a turf game under the Warrior lights. The Panthers returned with a tough loss, 1 – 0.
This week the Panthers finish their regular season when they play Hoosic Valley under the HFCS lights on Friday, October 18. Game time is 7 pm.
