The HFCS field hockey team made the long ride up to Warrensburg last Friday pay off when they came home with a 4 – 0 victory. Ally Burdick scored in the first half to record the only goal of the half for either team. Liz Ryan, Olivia Schneider and Maddy Ryan each scored. Schneider and Caytlyn Springer each had one assist for the Panthers. Ashley St. Onge had 3 saves in goal.
In Wednesday action, the Panthers hosted their final regular season match against the North Warren Cougars. The Panthers wasted no time in throttling the Cougars by putting up 3 goals in the first 10 minutes and five goals by the half. By the end of the game, the Ladies outscored the Cougars 7 – 0. Caytlyn Springer scored three goals, and Ally Burdick added two. Carsen Williams and Liz Ryan each added one. The goal Liz Ryan scored tied her for the all time HFCS season record of 23 with her coach Denise Campbell and 2009 graduate Samantha Scott.
According to the HFCS sports calendar, the Ladies now move into quarterfinal sectional play beginning Wednesday, October 23. The location is to be announced, and the game is scheduled to begin at 3 pm.
