Mountaineer XC Teams Do Well At Grout Invy

The Berlin cross country team traveled to Schenectady this past weekend to compete in the Grout Invitational. The boys had their best performance of the year finishing 5th amongst 14 teams. Evan Dawes once again led the way finishing 14th with a time of 15:17, he was followed by a strong performance from Nick Styer in 20th place at 15:37, and Jackson Burhans who finished 27th at 15:47. The boys also had good runs from Alex Flowers at 16:32, Charlie Eaton at 18:59, Jake Montero-Boyle at 19:39, and Chris Houle 21:29.

The girls also competed well being led by Serena Rizzo who finished 21st at 18:36, Hannah French at 19:51, Haley Styer at 20:47, GiGi French at 21:38, Molly Ruebel at 21:50, Rachel Barnum at 23:19, Danielle Jones at 23:37 and Sam Hebert at 25:31.
The team will be competing in their last invitational this Saturday at Saratoga Springs State Park. They are gearing up to compete in the WASAREN league championships and the Sectional meet in Queensbury.
