WW II Veterans Recognition

October 4, 2013 By eastwickpress

by Gail Smith
The public is invited to join us on Saturday, October 26, from 10 am to 12 noon at the Armory on Church Street (note change of venue) as we recognize and honor heroes from Hoosick Falls who served in World War II.
There will be a presentation of service awards to WW II veterans or family members representing deceased loved ones, a display by the Hoosick Falls Historical Society, appearances by local, County and State elected officials and the Patriot Guard Riders. A light lunch will be served following the program.
We invite you to come out and help us honor these men and women. Please make reservations by October 12 so we will have ample seating and food for those in attendance.
This event is being sponsored by Voice of a Vet, Heroes at Home and the American Legion Hoosick Falls Post.
If you have any questions, would like to make a reservation, or have a family member from Hoosick Falls who served in WW II, please call Gail at 686-9888.
