An ambulance operated by the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad was put out of service by an egg. [private]The two vehicles were traveling in opposite directions and the force of the egg drove it through the driver’s mirror of the ambulance. Modern mirrors are remote and have the directional signals incorporated in them. These mechanisms were destroyed by the egg.
While this problem pales when compared to school shootings and marathon bombings, it does create a problem in our small community. The ambulance will be out of service for two weeks. It is the Squad’s newest ambulance.
The Rescue Squad needs members including those interested in driving as well as those interested in becoming Emergency Medical Technicians. Interested persons should call 686-9715 or 686-0810.[/private]
