Hoosick Planning Board Action – November 2013

November 27, 2013 By eastwickpress

by Bea Peterson

First to come before the Planning Board on Monday, November 18, were Nancy Hewitt and William Stearns regarding property on Breese Hollow Road. [private]Hewitt said as a result of their conference with the Board last month they were presenting a new application for a family subdivision. It would be a boundary line adjustment granting 2.26 acres to Stearns’ son Doug and leaving Stearns with 18 acres. The Board approved the boundary line adjustment.

Auto Repair

Irving Cross sells cars from his Route 67 property. He now wants to repair cars at that site. He had been to the ZBA, and they had issued him a special permit to do repair work. Since the ZBA had completed the environmental study and deemed there was not a problem, the Board waived a public hearing and adopted the motion presented by the ZBA. The only stipulation was that Cross put an exit sign directing cars to leave his property via St. Croix Road.

Moose Expanding

Emil Baker of the Big Moose Deli and Country Store requested a change of use for the Green house/building next to the parking lot at his Route 7 store. He said he is launching an internet sales venture and he wants to change the building use from storage to office and retail space. The only change to the outside will be the addition of a handicap accessible ramp. The Board waived a public hearing and approved the change of use.

Sutton Property

Valerie Sutton appeared on behalf of David Sutton for an initial conference regarding an 8.4 acre subdivision of 43 acres on Spicer Hill and Brenenstuhl Roads. Sutton will return next month with tax map information on road frontage for the subdivision.[/private]
