PVMCC Fundraiser for the Veterans Memorial Wall

November 15, 2013 By eastwickpress

submitted by Andy Zlotnick

On Friday October 25, PVMCC members and volunteers from the community put on a wonderful lasagna dinner in support of the Veterans Memorial Wall in front of the PVMCC. The dinner was a rousing success. The dinner was made possible through the efforts of many members of the community and the local Boy Scout Troop. Troop 222, which is chartered by the PVMCC, provided both Scout and adult leaders to help with the dinner. The boys of Troop 222 helped setup, serve the dinner and cleanup at the end of the night.

At 7 pm a name was drawn for the 50/50 raffle. Jackie Elacqua won the raffle but immediately donated all the proceeds back to the PVMCC to help with the Memorial Wall. We invite all members of the community to consider a small donation to help fund the Veterans Memorial Wall by sending your donations to the PVMCC in care of the Memorial Wall Fund, 71 Main Street, Petersburgh, NY, 12138.

Any boy or adult interested in scouting, please contact Scoutmaster Jim Akers at 658-0872 for more information. The scouts meet on the first and third Mondays of the month at the PVMCC.
