On A beautiful Saturday morning in November members of Boy Scout Troop 222 and community members hosted a breakfast to honor our local Veterans and their families. The PVMCC asked the Troop to help out with a breakfast, and the boys in the troop said yes.
[private]The boys, their families and parents helped seat, serve, cook and cleanup at the breakfast. Troop 222 takes great pride in and helps out its Charter organization the PVMCC whenever they can and with enthusiasm. This was a great way to show our pride for all veterans.
When the boys were being trained for their assignments they were reminded as to how important these veterans are to them. It was said to the boys that if it wasn’t for these people who sacrificed years ago we couldn’t enjoy the freedoms we have today, that we should hold these men and women in reverence and show them the respect that they so truly earned.
The Scouts then learned some very valuable skills about customer service, taking food orders, and listening carefully. They also had a chance to sample the food that they were serving, and it got an A+. The Troop would like to thank Mr. Gene Kluck and family for all their help, Mr. Kluck was one of our two cooks and his wife and youngest son were great organizers and workers. The Troop and the PVMCC would like to thank all the Veterans who came to the breakfast and for their service to our country.
