Hoosick Town Board Meeting Date Changed – Brief Special Meeting Held Monday

December 14, 2013 By eastwickpress

by Bea Peterson

Hoosick Town Supervisor Keith Cipperly chose to delay the Town Board meeting scheduled for Monday, December 9, until Monday, December 30, at 7 pm. [private]The Supervisor said he thought it best to combine the regular Town Board meeting with a year end meeting as the majority of the December vouchers would not be in by the ninth. However, a short Special Town Board Meeting was called for Wednesday, December 11, at 4 pm to make skating rink appointments.

The three Board members attending that meeting were Councilmen Kevin Allard and Mark Surdam and Deputy Supervisor Jeff Wysocki. They approved a motion to employ Stephanie Bradley, Nick Downing, Anna Houghton, Molly Hyde, Tom Peabody, Anna Restino, Todd Rogers and Tyler Rondeau through the skating season. The Board also approved the appointment of Sue Hyde to conduct skating lessons, pending receipt of an insurance certificate. Hockey Tom Margiotta said he had been in discussion with Kurt Colling from Hoosac School about setting up hockey clinics for youngsters ages six to twelve. He will make a full presentation at the December 30 meeting.[/private]
