On December 5 Hoosick Falls Police Chief Robert Ashe reported that 23 year old Brett Farraro of 61 Center Street, Hoosick Falls was arrested for Rape in the Third Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. [private]Farraro picked up a 15 year old female in Cambridge and transported her to his house where he committed the act. The incident occurred in November. Rape in the Third Degree is charged when an individual is twenty-one years old or more and engages in sexual intercourse with another person less than seventeen years old. Farraro was arrested at his home, arraigned in Town Court and remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail. Farraro was later released and put on monitored probation until his trial.
