The Hoosick Falls bowling team defeated Granville on Thursday, January 16, by the score of 4-0. Hoosick Falls had total pins of 3,493, and Granville had total pins of 2,060. Hoosick Falls now has a point record of 42-2 and a match record of 10-0-1. Granville has a point record of 2-42. Top bowler for Granville was Cole McCullen with a 172-450.

Top bowlers for Hoosick Falls were Ken Marbot 245-658, Josh McCart 266-654, Kyla Day 202-563, Stephen Surdam 197-556, Jennifer Sargood 225-546 and A.J. Hurlburt 184-509. Top JV bowlers for Hoosick Falls were Jonathan Bossoni 227-596, Eric Bloomer 218-545 and Tyler Lindsey 205-473.

“We had another good match with some nice games rolled by both Varsity and JV bowlers. They have become very consistent bowlers by getting a lot of strikes and making most of their spares. The team must keep working hard if we are going to succeed in the tournaments at the end of the season,” said Coach Lang.

HF 4                  Corinth 0

The Hoosick Falls bowling team defeated Corinth on Tuesday, January 21, by the score of 4-0 at Strike Zone Lanes in Saratoga. Total pins for Hoosick Falls were 3,800, and total pins for Corinth were 2,959. Hoosick Falls now has a point record of 46-2 and a match record of 11-0-1. Corinth has a point record of 31-21. Top bowler for Corinth was Austin Bovee with a 254-726.

Top bowlers for Hoosick Falls were Josh McCart 279-672, A.J. Hurlburt 230-648, Jennifer Sargood 217-640, Kyla Day 232-630, Ken Marbot 208-614 and Stephen Surdam 233-596. Top JV bowlers were Eric Bloomer 202-571, William Charbonneau 196-569 and Tyler Lindsey 175-476.

“The team bowled outstanding today with a great total pin count of 3,800 pins. This was our third 3,800 or better series of the season, and it came at a good time against Corinth, which is the second best team in the Northern Division of our league. The first game we had a nice 1,310 total which included at least a 200 game from each of the Varsity bowlers; that is the first time that has happened this year. It was another great team effort on lanes that we will be bowling on in the League Championship in a few weeks. This should build some confidence for that match knowing that we bowled well in this match. I hope they bowl this well tomorrow against Stillwater, which is the second best team in our division. The team is peaking at the right time” Coach Lang said.

HF 4                     Stillwater 0

The Hoosick Falls bowling team defeated Stillwater, Wednesday, January 22, at Hometown Lanes by the score of 4-0. Total pins for Hoosick Falls were 3,614, and total pins for Stillwater were 2,879. Hoosick Falls now has a point total of 50-2 and a match record of 12-0-1. Stillwater has a point total of 28-24. Top bowler for Stillwater was Brittany Myers with a 214-529.

Top bowlers for Hoosick Falls were Kyla Day with a 276, her all time high game, and a 700, her all time high triple, Ken Marbot 217-639, Josh McCart 252-604, A.J. Hurlburt 207-580, Stephen Surdam 233-569 and Jennifer Sargood 201-522. Top JV bowlers for Hoosick Falls were Tanner Cahill 206-556, Jonathan Bossoni 219-524 and Eric Bloomer 202-494.

“This win clinches the Southern Division title for Hoosick Falls in the Adirondack League and means that we will bowl against Fort Edward on Tuesday, February 4, starting at 4 pm to see who will be the overall Adirondack League Champion. This was another great team effort led by Kyla with an outstanding high game of 276 and high triple of 700 followed by good scores by Ken, Josh, A.J., Stephen and Jen. We have one more match against Whitehall, home, on Monday, February 3, followed by the League Tournament on Tuesday, February 4, at Broadway Lanes starting at 9 am. The team knows that they must keep working hard for the end of season tournaments if they are to do as well as they have been bowling the last few weeks of the regular season,” said Coach Lang.
