Join HAYC3 for Hoosipalooza-3, the Hoosick community celebration day that’s jam packed with all kinds of activities for kids, grown-ups and families, on Saturday, March 1. Start the day at 11 am with a walk in Wood Memorial Park amid the harmonious sounds of a collection of wind chimes created by local artists and the wind.

The always exciting and funny Bed Race will take off at noon on Main Street with prizes awarded for the fastest, funniest and most creative bed designs. To learn more about entering the race, visit hayc3.org for rules and registration forms.
After the bed race the fun moves into the warmth of the Armory where the HFCS Jazz Band will play all the crowd favorites.
At 1:30 community members of all ages are invited to get into the spirit of the Hoosick Barn Quilt project and create their own quilt square on paper (supplies provided) to be featured in an installation at the Armory.
Otha Day and his “Drum to the Beat” Drum Circle will also be on hand to lead a lively drum circle. Using provided instruments (or bring your own), community members can participate in this interactive drumming. No experience necessary.
The drum circle will be followed by a dazzling performance of Hoosick’s very own Twirlettes, featuring a collection of talented girls performing well honed baton routines.
Don’t forget to start looking for the HooOwl. Clues for the HooOwl Hunt will be posted daily on the HAYC3 website. The first to find him wins the big prize![/private]
