On Wednesday February 26, a crowd of customers came pouring into the Grafton Post Office’s lobby to celebrate Ann McGrath’s retirement after 30 years of her dedicated service at this post office.  [private]Carol Capone, Post Office Operations Manager (POOM), and Jill Gresens, Grafton Postmaster, presented Ann with an official letter of appreciation from the United States Postal Service.  Nearly 70 customers and friends came in to greet Ann and enjoyed tasting homemade cake, donuts, cookies and coffee.

Elsie Risedorf, owner of the Grafton Inn and a Grafton Post Office box holder, said, “This is the first party in 30 years that I have ever come to inside the Grafton Post Office.”  Another box holder, Dave Fry, said, “This is probably the most people in this building since it was a school house.”

Ann always kept a bottomless supply of lollipops for the kids who came in to visit.  She’ll surely be missed!
