David Buckner appeared before the Town of Hoosick Planning for a second time on Monday, March 17, with all the paperwork requested of him at the February meeting. Buckner was seeking approval to open an automotive repair shop in the 22 x 24 foot two car garage behind his home on Route 22. [private]He had already met all the requirements of the ZBA, and they had approved his use of the property for the shop. Buckner brought a new plat that defined the 4 car concrete parking area and a designated handicapped spot and indicated where the lighting would be around the building and where the storage container would be. He said there would be no storage behind the building except for propane tanks. He added that the sign on Route 22 would be 4×4 feet with two 40 watt solar lights. Chairman Dunigan worried that the area would become a junk yard. Buckner responded, “I have to live there, and I don’t want to live in a junk yard.”
The Board approved Buckner’s request.[/private]
