Petersburgh firefighter Cheyenne Seel fighting a propane fire during New York State firefighter 2 class held Saturday at the Rensselaer County Training Tower. She is on the nozzle advancing towards the tank as part of an eight person team that used 2 hand lines in a fog pattern to protect 1 person who stood between them who shut off the propane tank. This part of the training took a lot of teamwork in order to not put the fire out before the tank was shut off and to protect the person who turned off the tank valve. It was part of a whole day of live fire training for the 27 hour class. Terry Neaton was also at the training with a pumper from Petersburgh to supply water. Photo courtesy of Chief Bill Seel.
