The HFCS boys lacrosse team earned its first ever win last Thursday when they dominated the Voorheesville Blackbirds 16 – 0. The Panthers controlled the game from beginning to end, scoring almost at will and keeping the Blackbirds on their heels.

The team has certainly earned this victory. After a couple years of being a punching bag for established teams, the boys now have the hardest to get win behind them. That first one is the toughest one. Now the team can move forward and use this win as a stepping stone to take them to the next level.

Nick Schrom led the way with four goals and one assist, Noah Labarge had four goals. Mike Sprague and Damon Dubois each had two goals and one assist. Charlie Whitman had one goal and one assist. Cole Votra and Justin LePage each scored once.

The next game on the schedule is an away game at Maple Hill. The game is scheduled for April 22, starting at 5 pm. After that the team will be home against Johnstown on Tuesday, April 29, beginning at 5 pm. All home games are held on the Hoosac School athletic fields on Pine Valley Road just off Route 7.
