Hoosical Furnishings – A Celebration Of Community & Art

May 30, 2014 By eastwickpress

by Bea Peterson

“A Celebration of Community & Art” was the theme for HAYC3’s Hoosical Furnishings Exhibit and Auction. From armoires to benches, from a chandelier to dog houses, from mirrors to mailboxes, there certainly was something for everyone. Fifty local artists transformed 50 different types of home decor objects into works of art in two months. Some were displayed in businesses on John Street. Each furnishing was unique and was awarded to the highest bidder during the evening’s live auction on Saturday, May 10.
