Taste Of Hoosick Best Ever

May 9, 2014 By eastwickpress

by Bea Peterson

Sunday, May 4, was not the most pleasant of spring days. However, inside the St. Mary’s Academy gym it was a wonderful day.  It was the Fifth Annual Taste of Hoosick event, and it was the biggest and best yet. There was plenty of food to sample and plenty of silent auction items to tempt just about everyone. The music performed by The Tune Travelers, Webster, Greene and von Schilgen and the HFCS Jazz Band was outstanding.

According to HACA Executive Director Diane Hosterman, “This was the most successful year yet, both in income and participation. Over $7,000 was raised for the HACA Food Pantry, a 20% increase over last year. I am so grateful to the dedicated volunteers, the restaurants and food vendors and those who donated items for the silent auction. The music was awesome. All together it was a wonderful day.”
