Cass, Irwin Receive CASDA Honors

July 3, 2014 By eastwickpress

submitted by Michael A. McCagg, TVHS Communications Coordinator

Tech Valley High School senior Libby Cass is one of the region’s top scholars. She in turn honored teacher Jason Irwin for having a “significant and beneficial influence on her education.”

Cass is the recipient of a Capital Area School Development Association (CASDA) Scholar’s Recognition honor and joined other honorees from area schools during a ceremony in May. The CASDA program recognizes students for outstanding academic achievements.

At a school award reception earlier this month,  she received a certificate from Counselor Dean Walker and in turn presented Irwin with a certificate.  The CASDA program is intended to honor those teachers nominated by each student scholar for having a significant and beneficial influence on his/her education.
