Berlin United Methodist Church Tag Sale

August 15, 2014 By eastwickpress

submitted by Judy Patsos

Franky and Lorelai Goodermote, ages 10 and 8, conducted a tag sale at the United Methodist Church in Berlin which raised $620 for Heifer International. Heifer International is a charity that strives to end world hunger by providing farm animals and training to people in need. Donors can “purchase” a variety of animals from bees to heifers to a whole ark. Franky’s goal is to purchase a camel for $850, so he and his sister will continue to accept donations. They will be taking a trip to the Heifer Project farm in Rutland, MA, on August 25 and encourage other interested persons to come as well. For information call the United Methodist Church in Berlin at 658-2942.
